GM Reaffirms Autonomous Vehicle Aspirations

General Motors has reiterated its plans to have a fully self-driving vehicle on the road by next year.

Jan. 15, 2018—On Friday, General Motors reiterated its plans to have a fully self-driving vehicle on the road by next year. GM noted that its Cruise AV is close to coming to fruition.

And, assuming the Cruise AV does, in fact, hit roadways, it could present a versatile offering in the respect that it would be an autonomous vehicle delivered by an all-electric powertrain, noted Michigan NPR.

The Michigan news outlet views GM’s Cruise AV as a noteworthy play for a significant revenue stream.
