Coalition Letter Details Need for Liability Relief Legislation

May 29, 2020—A coalition letter was sent to U.S. Congress urging for relief liability legislation for small business in response to the pandemic, according to a press release.

According to the letter, organizations in the coalition are urging Congress to act quickly and enact temporary and targeted liability relief legislation protections for businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, manufacturers, distributors, and public companies targeted by COVID-19-related securities lawsuits, among other industries.
