Sept. 1, 2020—The University of the Aftermarket Foundation announced that it has awarded a record $644,500 in scholarships, spread out over 461 awards.
In a press release, foundation president Bob Egan said that donors were a big part of raising their scholarship figure.
“This new milestone shows how dedicated our industry is to helping the next generation of aftermarket professionals advance their education. We can’t thank our donors enough for their generosity," he said. "Their commitment to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation helps ensure that our industry remains vibrant and strong for many more years to come.”
The scholarships are good for two-year and four-year colleges and universities for accredited automotive vocational programs. The foundation said that most awardees study mechanical, collision or heavy duty repair, and some are moving toward business and engineering degrees.
