The not-for-profit has partnered with Ford to create eight new courses.

Nov. 30, 2020—I-CAR has launched a series of expanded training courses to help keep technicians working across the auto repair industry up to speed on hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles, according to a press release.

The eight courses have been introduced in partnership with Ford Motor Company and have been designed to provide an overview of electrified vehicles, safety considerations and specific details on current and future Ford hybrids and EVs like the 2021 Mustang Mach-E.

“Our collaboration with Ford continues as together we work in developing and delivering courses that contribute to complete, safe, and quality repairs," said Mark Bochenek, I-CAR Principal, OEM International Business Development.

Most courses, which cover topics ranging from high-voltage safety principles to alternative fuel vehicle service procedures, are available now.
