Jan. 26, 2021— An auto repair shop in Cedar Falls, Iowa has moved its operations into a neighboring garage after their original building burned down in December, KWWL reports

Beyer Motorsports, which caught fire on December 15, is now working out of a space nearly half the size of its original building. It can service about seven vehicles now, down from between 16 and 18 before.

“In three minutes time the entire inside of the building was fully engulfed in flames,” owner Robert Beyer told the outlet. “We knew at that point there wasn’t anything anybody can do to save it.”

Insurance will cover the rebuilding of the facility, which is expected finish sometime in August. But the team of eight auto technicians lost nearly $300,000 in personal tools and equipment. There are two active GoFundMe pages to help the employees pay for the tools they lost.
