Sept. 7, 2021—A new study by UpSwell has found roughly half of auto shop owners are not worried about expanding their shop to include EV services or only cater to hybrids.

According to a press release announcing the results, the study also found just four percent of shop owners consider themselves EV experts.

This comes at a time of uncertainty about when exactly EVs and hybrids will become a large market share of U.S. vehicles. Nearly every automaker has now set goals to reduce emissions and rely heavily on EVs within the next 10 years. However, the timeline of infiltration into the market remains uncertain.
