May 6, 2013—Meritor Inc., recently named Ivor J. Evans as executive chairman of the board of directors and interim CEO and president.

Evans will succeed Charles G. McClure, Jr. who is departing from the company.

Evans has served on the board of directors since 2005 and served as president and COO of Union Pacific Railroad from 1998 to 2004 and as vice chairman of Union Paciic Corporation from 2004 until his retirement in 2005.

The search for the next CEO and president is underway and will include internal and external candidates.

The board also announced that William J. Lyons, former CFO of CONSOL Energy Inc., has been elected to the board as a class II director with a term expiring in 2014.
