July 20, 2022—Mitchell 1 has announced that it is set to sponsor a free webinar this month from Motor Age Training.
According to a press release, the webinar will take place on Saturday, July 30 at 6 p.m. eastern time.
The webinar is titled "Keeping the Smoke in the Engine Control Module (ECM)! What to Check Before You Replace it!” It will be hosted by Peter Meier, Motor Age Group Technical Editor and Director of Training, as well as G. Jerry Truglia of Technician’s Service Training.
The webinar plans to show how to verify a faulty ECM and how to ensure that the new one will work correctly.
“Have you ever gotten to the end of a 15-page troubleshooting flowchart and found that the last step was to replace the ECM? Does it make you a little nervous to replace an expensive component that you aren’t 100 percent sure is the correct fix?," Meier said in the press release. "And if you install a new ECM, you just might damage the new one if you didn’t find the reason the original ECM went bad in the first place!
