Toyota Will Buy Back All bZ4X Electric Crossover SUVs

Aug. 8, 2022—After recalling its bZ4X electric SUV in June, Toyota is offering to buy the vehicles back from owners, said a report from The Verge.

The recall, caused by loose wheel bolts that could detach while driving, sidelines 2,700 vehicles. Toyota initially issued a do not drive warning and in exchange for the inconvenience, provide owners with incentives such as a $5,000 credit, an extended warranty, and free charging at EVgo-owned charging stations through the end of 2024. Toyota will now simply buy back vehicles in their entirety.
