Cooper Standard Names New Chairman of Board

May 13, 2013—Cooper Standard Automotive, a supplier of automotive sealing, fuel and brake and fluid transfer systems, recently announced that it has appointed the company’s CEO, Jeffrey S. Edward, to also serve as chairman of the board of directors.

Edwards succeeds James S. McElya as chairman, who retired as director of the company on May 9 and reitred as the company's CEO in October 2012.

“Jeff’s appointment by the board to serve as chairman recognizes and will complement his impressive leadership as the company’s chief executive officer,” said David Mastrocola, the lead director of Cooper Standard. “The board greatly appreciates Jim McElya’s long and distinguished service with Cooper Standard.”
