ASA Prepares for Third Annual Safety Inspection Forum

Aug. 24, 2016

Aug. 24, 2016—The Automotive Service Association (ASA) announced Tuesday that it will host its third annual safety inspection forum in Houston.

The forum aims to raise awareness about the importance of periodic vehicle inspection programs for drivers’ safety, as well as the strategies to protect these inspection programs nationwide.

“As your industry trade association, ASA is tuned into and far ahead of the curve on issues that may affect your business as well as public safety concerns,” Todd Mehalko, ASA-Texas executive director, said. “For this reason, we will be hosting the third annual Vehicle Safety Inspection Forum in the Houston area this fall. You are invited to join us at San Jacinto College in Deer Park, Texas, to learn about issues impacting the vehicle safety inspection program in Texas, as well as other state programs across the United States.”

Jade Winfree, senior analyst for the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Jojo Heselmeyer, senior manager of the Compliance & Enforcement Service (CES) of the Texas Department of Public Safety, will participate in the forum.
