Sonic Automotive Posts Record Gross Profits

February 19, 2014—Sonic Automotive Inc., an automotive retailer, reported strong 2013 sales in an announcement made Wednesday.

Used retail unit and gross profit for 2013 reached 107,054 units and $150.4 million. Total revenues saw a total increase of 5.7 percent over 2012.

“We made great progress as we continued the process of preparing our company for the long-term growth,” said Jeff Dyke, Sonic Automotive’s EVP of operations. “I am very pleased with Q4 results that included our largest profit quarter in our history, absent the non-cash impairment charges.”
