Advance Auto Parts Appoints New Supply Chain VP

July 10, 2014—Advance Auto Parts Inc. announced Wednesday it appointed David Allen as senior vice president of supply chain management.

Allen will lead supply chain initiatives for Advance stores and commercial customers as well as the integration of the company’s supply chain with CARQUEST. Based in Raleigh, N.C., he will report to Charles Tyson, executive vice president of merchandising, marketing and supply chain.

“I am excited to welcome David to the Advance team to continue our work toward providing superior availability to our stores and customers. David brings extensive leadership and supply chain experience, and we look forward to his contributions to our supply chain capabilities,” said Tyson.

Prior to joining Advance, Allen served in executive positions for Del Monte Foods, Dell Inc., and Frito-Lay North America. Most recently, Allen was the operating partner for TriPointe Capital Partners.
