Kentucky Auto Industry Association Names Director

July 2, 2014—The Kentucky Auto Industry Association (KAIA), founded earlier this year, announced Tuesday it appointed Dave Tatman, a former General Motors manager, to be the association’s first executive director.

Tatman served as General Motor’s general manager for its Corvette assembly plant from 2010 until earlier this year when he retired.

“Dave is the best person for the job,” said Larry Hayes, association chair and Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development secretary. “His experience in the industry and his strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers throughout the state will be invaluable assets as we further strengthen our position as a leader in the global automotive marketplace.”

KAIA was announced by Governor Steve Beshear earlier this year and aims to create a unified voice for for the automotive sector in the state. For more information about KAIA, visit KYAutoIndustry.com.
