TIA Adopts New Mission Statement

June 29, 2016

June 29, 2016—The Tire Industry Association (TIA) announced Tuesday that it has adopted a new mission statement to more accurately describe the association’s efforts. The TIA has recently placed emphasis on training and education as well as government affairs.

The new mission statement reads: “The mission of TIA is to promote tire safety through training and education, to act as the principal advocate in government affairs, and to enhance the image and professionalism of the industry so that our member businesses may be more successful.

"We have achieved phenomenal growth over the past few years due to the success of our members, so the updated mission statement definitely reflects our identity as an organization," Roy Littlefield, TIA executive vice president, said. "Training and government affairs have always been our strengths and our most valued member services, but we recognize that the challenges facing our members require additional support to help the public understand the roles that the industry plays in society and the workforce."
