May 15, 2014—Bosch’s Automotive Aftermarket Business Division on Wednesday announced its sponsorship of the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills competition.
The competition helps mentor future technicians who have shown an interest in the automotive service industry.
More than 12,000 high school students have entered the competition. Winning teams from each state will compete on June 10 at the Ford Motor Company World Headquarters in Dearborn, Mich.
Throughout the competition, Bosch Field Training Specialists will provide guidance and mentorship to students, as well as donate tools and equipment to winning teams.
“Every student we work with has shown an incredible aptitude for automotive service, and it’s our job to foster that development and ensure they have the tools and guidance needed to succeed,” said Mike Mansuetti, president, Robert Bosch LLC. “We’re looking forward to continuing to work with Ford and AAA to challenge and recognize the brightest young minds in the automotive field.”
