Rotary Lift Earns Patent for Y-Lift

May 5, 2016

May 5, 2016—Rotary Lift announced Wednesday that it has earned a U.S. patent for features on its Y-Lift vertical rise platform.

The features increase rise speed based on vehicle weight, ensure a smooth descent, and increase structural rigidity, the company said. Its Y-shaped legs reduce the footprint of the lift, increasing space in the bay by as much as 20 percent. General service work and vehicle alignments can be performed on the lift.

“We designed the Y-Lift to provide maximum bay productivity,” Rotary Lift engineer Jason Matthews said. “Its fast rise and descent times mean technicians can start servicing vehicles sooner, and then move on to the next job faster, than they can with other lifts. Its superior rigidity ensures accurate four-wheel alignments on vehicles with wheelbases as short as 71 1/2 inches to as long as 158 inches – from microcars to large pickups. It’s a versatile, productive and efficient lift for a wide range of applications.”
