Nov. 26, 2014—The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) has named Vermont shop owner Amy Mattinat as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year.
According to a release, she was recognized with this distinction for leadership in the automotive industry.
“I love cars and am proud to be part of the automotive industry. I am passionate about educating the public, especially women, about car care so they can make informed decisions about their cars and not get taken advantage of,” Mattinat, president of Auto Craftsmen, said in a release.
Awarded the Car Care Council Women's Board Top Female Shop Owner in 2012, Mattinat shares her expansive knowledge of the automotive world with larger audiences through her monthly car care newsletter and blog. She is the Author of "How to Buy A Great Used Car," and co-authored the book, "Whatever Happened to Outstanding Customer Service."
In 2014, she was elected for a three-year term as president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board, which is comprised of auto care professionals dedicated to providing opportunities, education and career leadership to women in the auto care industry.
