FRANKFURT Sept. 19, 2014—Bosch Automotive Aftermarket highlighted a number of new products at the 2014 Automechanika in Frankfurt.
Many of those products and services were related to driver mobility and the connected repair shop.
Per Bosch, the repair shop of the future will know the “state of health” of their customers’ vehicles and recommend the vehicle owner to have the vehicle repair even before a component fails.
Bosch highlighted its augmented reality applications at the show, which provide computer-assisted, additional information to support vehicle workshops in repair and maintenance works.
The solution provides the technician with 3D work instructions, required tools, training videos and repair procedures.
The company’s connected fleet management telematics solutions was also highlighted at Automechanika. The service provides fleet operators and insurance companies with real-time information for intelligent fleet management.
The company also unveiled numerous test and diagnostic equipment for quick diagnosis, wheel alignment, motorcycle service, digital headlight adjustment, mobile workshop applications and modular vehicle system analysis.
Finally, Bosch announced the worldwide expansion of its workshop concepts, AutoCrew and Bosch Car Service, which offer solutions for the different demands of independent shops.
