ASRW Introduces ‘Professional Enrichment’ Educational Series

Sept. 25, 2013—Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) announced Wednesday that it will offer a new educational series focused on life skills training. The Professional Enrichment Series will include two 90-minute sessions set for Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and may be taken independently or as a set.

The first session, Charisma—Increasing Your Personal Magnetism at Work & Home, will be led by Margie Seyfer of Impact Presentations. It will focus on understanding the positives of personality differences and how to increase your personal effectiveness with employees, family members and customers.

Steve Beck of Beck & Associates will lead the second presentation, entitled Public Speaking—Getting Through the Fear to Accomplish Greatness. This interactive presentation will introduce tips and strategies for how to lead an effective presentation, and it will give participants the chance to put them to use right away.

“The topics covered in the Professional Enrichment Series are applicable, relevant and helpful to everyone. [They focus on] skills each one of us can use and benefit from in our professional and personal lives,” said Dan Risley, ASA executive director. “It’s a new type of educational training we haven’t offered in the recent past, and in a year where we’re focused on providing value and a great experience for all participants at ASRW, we are excited to add these sessions to the existing conference program.”

Registration is available at the ASRW website. Each session is $70 and can be purchased online or on-site at the show.
