September New-Vehicle Sales Continue Strong Growth

Sept. 24, 2014—September new-vehicle sales are expected to be the strongest September since 2007, according to a forecast from TrueCar Inc.

New light vehicle sales in the U.S. are expected to reach 1,249,000 units for September, according to the forecast, up 9.7 percent from September 2013.

The daily selling rate for September 2014 is also 5.2 percent greater than that of September 2013.

TrueCar’s 2014 annual sales forecast remains at 16.4 million vehicles, as well.

Total used car sales, however, are estimated to be 3,287328, down 1.2 percent compared to last September.
