Body Discovered in Vehicle Outside Auto Shop Identified

Authorities revealed that Darryl Whitfield, 26, of Queens was found around 7 a.m. in a parked car behind an AutoZone in Jackson Heights, NY.

October 3, 2018— According to the New York Post, police have identified the body of a man who was found shot in the head in the back seat of a BMW outside a Queens auto shop. Authorities revealed that Darryl Whitfield, 26, of Queens was found around 7 a.m. in a parked car behind an AutoZone in Jackson Heights, NY, the New York Post reports.

A worker discovered the body and called 911, police sources reported. According to the New York Post, the body was inside a gray sedan with New Jersey license plates and had a flat time at the time. 

The city Medical Examiner’s Office has declared his death a homicide and that Whitfield had been shot, the New York Post reports.
