October 5, 2018— All Tune and Lube Professional Automotive in Tyler, Tex., has temporarily closed without notice to customers, KETK reports. Customers expressed frustrations to KETK regarding the shop's silence — one of which still has a car at the business.
"I've got a black Cadillac having an engine put in it and it's been up here going on two years," said Timothy McCauley to KETK.
McCauley showed up to the shop to discover a vacant parking lot accompanied by a "temporarily closed" sign on the door, KETK reports. Additionally, the sign instructs customers to call a toll free number.
Following the phone call, McCauley was informed that the shop would not re-open for three weeks, according to KETK.
Upon arrival, McCauley allegedly found a change in his car, KETK reports: "The car he says was once shiny, now is dull and discolored from the sun. The tires are flaky and peeling with weather rot."
Customer, Brian Walker, brought his truck to the shop over an eight month period, KETK writes.
"Tried to get him to fix it for me, but he kept putting me off," Walker said to KETK. "I'd go up on a Monday, he'd be like well we got kind of busy, come back on Thursday. I'd go back on Thursday, he'd say well were kind of busy back there right now. Come back Monday and we'll get your truck in. So I dealt with that runaround for a few months."
The reason for the shop's closing was not reported.
