October 15, 2018— Former A&M Auto repair shop in McGregor, Min., has been reopened as AutoSmith, according to MessAge Media: Aitkin Independent Age. The purchase was made by Justin and Nellie Mitchell, along with Nellie' brother, Dustin Smith, who all bring years of repair and maintenance experience to the new business, Aitkin Independent Age reports.
While the Mitchells will be running the McGregor AutoSmith shop, Smith manages the Ironton facility, Aitkin Independent Age reports.
“I was looking for work closer to home because between working, commuting and family, I felt disconnected from the McGregor community in which I live,” Smith said to Aitkin Independent Age.
The three partnered together after the former owners anticipated retirement in the future, Aitkin Independent Age reports, so the trio decided to purchase the building and open a satellite location.
“Our goal at AutoSmith is to provide a repair experience for our customers that is as good as it can be – to provide the best and most convenient service possible,” Smith said to the Aitkin Independent Age. “After all, without the support of our customers, we would just be empty shops.”
AutoSmith is both ASE and AAA certified. According to Aitkin Independent Age, both Ironton and AutoSmith are NAPA Autocare Centers. The McGregor AutoSmith shop will provide customers with a vehicle drop-off and pick-up, as well as automotive and light diesel repair and service work, the Aitkin Independent Age reports.
