Feb. 11, 2019—An auto repair shop will honor late-owner during 35th anniversary who passed away in 2016. According to the Gaston Gazette, Tammy Pasour is honoring her husband, Scott Pasour, former owner of Pasour Auto Repair, in Dallas, N.C., who was struck by lightning and passed away in July of 2016.

The shop opened doors in 1984 where the couple had a 10-month-old daughter, and then later relocated the business in 2001.

“I know how hard my husband worked to get this business going,” Pasour said to Gaston Gazette. “He was a hard-working man and a good man and he worked very hard to help the people of this community.”

Pasour made the decision to honor her husband during the business' anniversary.

“It’s not been easy,” Pasour said to the Gaston Gazette. “A few times we’ve come close, very close to shutting the doors.”

Pasour told the Gaston Gazette that the business remains open due to the help of the workers and family members. Following Scott's death, daughter Kelly Davis, stepped in to make sure the bills were getting paid, Pasour told the Gaston Gazette

According to the publication, Scott would have turned 57 on Feb. 16, and in honor of him, the shop will hold special events throughout the week, including door prizes and gifts for customers, Pasour said to the Gaston Gazette
