May 28, 2019—A new auto repair shop specializing in European vehicles has opened in Lindenhurst, N.Y., reports Greater Babylon.
M-Spec Performance, which has another location in Queens, launched its first shop on Long Island last month at 51 East Montauk Highway.
“We were looking at so many areas, but this is a great spot right on Montauk Highway,” said Adam Liu, M-Spec’s president, pointing to the high-traffic area. “This is a growing area with many businesses on their way.”
Since opening in April, the new shop has felt welcome by the community, reports Greater Babylon.
“The response has been great,” Liu said Greater Babylon. “The people have been so kind, very warm.”
While M-Spec’s original location in Queens works on European makes only, the Lindenhurst location will service all models, says Liu.
“We wanted to open it up to better serve the area,” he said.
Liu, a longtime automotive enthusiast, always had an affinity toward European automobiles.
The majority of the work done at his shops are for owners of the following brands: BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedez, Mini Cooper, and Porche.
For Liu, one of his favorite makes is BMW, a make he has owned for the last decade; he even traveled to Munich, Germany to pick up his 2016 M6.
To keep up with the changes in the European models, M-Spec sends its technicians on training periodically throughout the year.
“Some of the vehicles we work on are very specific, and are constantly changing with new parts,” explained Liu.
