Former Pastor Opens Free Auto Shop to Help Women in Need

June 12, 2019

The shop helps women who are “short on money and long on car troubles.”

June 12, 2019—Former pastor Chris Williams opened up God’s Garage, a nonprofit auto repair shop in Montgomery, Texas, to assist single mothers, widows, and wives with deployed spouses and their car troubles, according to Faithwire.

Since opening in 2012, Williams has repaired over 200 vehicles and has restored 100—all for free. The shop runs solely on rotating volunteers and donations brought in by the community.
