ASRW Makes Changes to Opening General Session

Aug. 27, 2013

Aug. 27, 2013—Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) announced Tuesday changes to its Opening General Session/Industry Forum, which will feature a keynote speaker as well as separate industry-specific forums for both collision and mechanical repair.

The session will take place Oct. 17 from 8–9:30 a.m., immediately preceding the show floor opening at the Mandalay Bay Concention Center in Las Vegas.

Mike Anderson, a collision repair industry consultant, will serve as the session’s keynote speaker. Two concurrent sessions, a collision industry forum and a mechanical industry forum, will immediately follow Anderson’s presentation.

New this year, the event is open to all attendees.

“We’ve completely redesigned the opening general session and attendees can expect a much different experience. Mike Anderson is extremely well respected, and attendees are going to want to hear his message,” said Dan Risley, ASA executive director.

“After attending this session, attendees will not only have a firm grasp on where the collision industry is headed, but also the role each of us plays in its future and how much we can collectively accomplish by eliminating barriers and joining together,” said Anderson. “I am humbled by the opportunity to speak at this year’s general session and look forward to empowering NACE attendees with this message.”
