Recalls have been issued on select vehicles that may have had old or defective Takata air bags accidentally installed after they were repaired in response to an earlier Takata recall.
The recall addresses an issue with touchscreen displays that could fail and raise the risk of crash in 2012-2018 Model S and 2016-2018 Model X vehicles.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found the ammonium nitrate propellant used to inflate the driver's air bags is showing signs of decay and poses a safety risk.
