Minnesota Careers in Auto Repair and Service (MNCARS) announced the release of new video resources to expand its outreach and raise awareness of career opportunities in the automotive service and collision repair industry.
Moran Family of Brands, one of the larger franchises of general automotive repair, transmission repair and auto accessories, is launching its inaugural "Future Auto Tech" internship program. Moran’s internship programs will give high school and vocational school students first-hand experience in learning about the automotive repair industry.
Each year, Mitchell 1 recognizes one U.S. or Canadian student for outstanding achievement in automotive technology and auto shop repair scholastics. Travis Krueger received a $2,500 scholarship, a check for $500 and round-trip airfare and accommodations for himself and a guest to attend the NACAT conference.
The initiative will focus on parents and influencers of 13 to 18-year-olds, and will provide hands-on opportunities for young men and women to experience the rewards of working and creating with their hands.
