Family Revives Retro Auto Garage

June 19, 2019

Ashland Garage opened after a few months of fixing it up, with more renovations still planned in the near future.

June 19, 2019—A family in Ashland, Va. opened a new auto repair shop, preserving the original 1950s-feel of the old auto shop, reports Richmond BizSense.

Nathan Roady purchased the once-dilapidated building in February after two years of negotiations. He opened Ashland Garage in the space after a few months spent fixing it up, with more renovations still planned.

The family poured $50,000 into renovations into the building, with another $40,000 budgeted through the end of the year.

Dana Roady is co-owner of the new auto shop, while the family’s daughter, Trista, is also involved in learning to run the business side of things, running administration, and acting as a service writer.
