A year ago, Chicago-area resident Brian Moak rebranded his family’s business, Duxler Complete Auto Care, renaming it HEART Certified Auto Care, with a goal of promoting tolerance. HEART is an acronym for “Helping Everyone Achieve Reliable Transportation,” and the Chicago-area business attempts to accomplish that by by being as transparent of a business as possible, with mechanics providing photos of their work, for example.
HEART currently has three locations—in Evanston, Wilmette, and Northbrook, Ill.—and Moak recently told the Windy City Times that he now hopes to take his vision nationwide, and expand to perhaps as many as 100 franchise locations within 10 years.
“The biggest challenge is getting the brand going,” according to Moak, who said HEART has a 94 percent customer retention rate. “The good news is our foundation is exceptional, and we’re stronger than we’ve ever been, so we’re primed and ready to do this.”
Moak said he’s seeking potential franchisees who are driven, have high values, empathy, a strong work ethic, and creativity.
