Oct. 18, 2013—The organizers of the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) have issued a new policy statement to protect the intellectual property rights of AAPEX exhibitors. AAPEX is set for Nov. 5–7 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
The statement, “Protecting Your Intellectual Property Rights at AAPEX,” includes a general background of AAPEX and intellectual property (IP) at the event as well as an overview of the IP review process.
The zero tolerance policy will work with exhibitors to resolve legitimate violation claims. Violating exhibitors may be asked to close their booth, be banned from future AAPEX shows and lose their seniority privileges.
AAPEX management and its IP counsel will be available during AAPEX from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4–7 to receive and investigate intellectual property complaints.
