The company's strategy has increased the local fuel economy by nine percent, study finds.

Jan. 18, 2021—HHO Carbon Clean Systems, an Illinois-based upstart company, is making news for its innovative eco-friendly approach to cleaning carbon buildup on engines that also boosts fuel economy, reports the Franchise Times.

Jared English, founder and president of HHO and the owner of his own shop in southern Illinois, aims to reduce carbon emissions in the automotive repair industry through the new venture.

After doing extensive research, English discovered a clean energy solution that uses hydrogen to release carbon deposits through the exhaust system, he told the outlet—a method that's proving effective. In a third-party study of fleet operators around where English is based, customers with the hydrogen carbon cleaning service experienced a nine percent fuel economy gain.

English is now looking to expand his business, hoping to add 10 franchises by 2022.
