Ford to Open AV Command Center

Nov. 9, 2020
Ford Motor Company has announced plans for a Miami facility focused on autonomous vehicles.

Nov. 9, 2020—Ford announced last week that it is opening a command center for its autonomous vehicles just west of Miami International Airport.

According to BisNow, the command center will have both office and warehouse workspace, making it home to business development, research, safety evaluations, and testing of the autonomous vehicles.

In 2018, the autonomous vehicles began by delivering Dominos pizzas. Now, Ford is using a test fleet of more than two dozen Fusion Hybrids that will be operating at the fourth level of autonomation.
