MI Shop Owner Fixes It Forward

April 19, 2022

Auto shop owner returns kindness once shown to him.

April 19, 2022—Russell West got back on his feet when someone gave him a set of wheels. Today, he does the same for others through his shop's nonprofit arm, Fix it Forward. West repairs used vehicles donated to him and gives them to those in need.

“We’re not only giving people cars; we’re giving them hope as well,” West, owner of Elite Auto Garage in Michigan, told TV 6.

He runs the diagnostics, the community donates parts, and then he gives the repaired vehicles away. He’s given away three so far.
