Jan. 25, 2018—Ford Motor Company today reported its 2017 full year financial results.
It was another strong year overall for the company, as full year revenue was up 3 percent in 2017.
Pickups, especially the F-Series, were a strong point for Ford, as sales for F-Series trucks were up 9.3 percent over 2016.
In 2017, Ford achieved its eighth consecutive year as the best-selling brand in the U.S.
“In 2017, we made tremendous progress in laying the foundation for our strategy—smart vehicles for a smart world—from accelerating our connected vehicles plans to expanding our AV and EV work,” Jim Hackett, Ford president and CEO said.
Looking forward to 2018, 23 new global products will be launched. In October, the company announced that by 2019, 100 percent of Ford’s new U.S. vehicles will be built with connectivity and 90 percent globally by 2020.
