Tesla Crashes into Fire Truck, NHTSA Seeks Answers

Safety administration seeks answers from automaker after crash kills the driver. 

Feb. 21, 2023—Tesla is once again in hot water with the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). 

On Monday, NHTSA sought answers from Tesla Inc following a collision involving one of its vehicles and a California fire truck killing the Tesla driver.

According to Reuters, the NHTSA has been actively investigating crashes involving Tesla’s advanced driver assistance systems. Last week, Tesla recalled more than 362,000 U.S. vehicles with Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta software for updates.
