Snap-on Increases European Coverage

May 5, 2015—Snap-on announced that it has increased its optional European coverage by offering the new Software Upgrade 15.2.

The upgrade creates a helpful diagnostic tool for European cars that have in the past been a challenge, the company said in a release. Coverage dates back to 1998 and includes Audi, BMW, FIAT, Mercedes-Benz and other European automobiles.

Christopher Hockett, product manager of Snap-on Diagnostics, said, “With optional European Coverage for Software Upgrade 15.2, it’s what’s inside that matters. You get Snap-on reliability, support and true OEM-specific coverage to expand your diagnostic tool’s capabilities and increase your repair opportunities to grow your business in the European vehicle category.”

Highlights of the upgrade include but are not limited to function tests, access to systems that provide confidence in diagnostics and repair, tests and information that save time and eliminate guesswork, OEM-specific tests that finish the job right and adaptations that will help with European models.

With Software Upgrade 15.2 there is access to over 93,270 codes, tips and data for car models ranging from 1998–2014 with the most extensive coverage outside the factory. This new software also includes 36,374 tips and timesavers, plus 40,730 guided components tests and the online support community provides technicians with even more useful information.
