Openbay Adds Android Pay, Multimedia Messaging

Aug. 23, 2016

Aug. 23, 2016—Openbay announced Monday that it has added new features to its app for Android users.

Openbay now accepts Android Pay through its app, eliminating the need for Android users to take out their wallets. The capability adds an extra layer of security, and also saves shops from upgrading point-of-sales terminals and lowers the risk of responsibility for fraudulent charges.

Android users may now also exchange text, picture and video messages with their mechanic through the Openbay app. This allows the mechanic to more easily communicate with and update the customer on the vehicle’s status. This will help mechanics better diagnose problems, complete repairs more quickly, and inform the customer of other potential problems.

Openbay previously had multimedia messaging capabilities for Apple iOS users, along with Apple Pay capabilities.
