Arizona Shop Gives Family Free Repairs

A partnership between Spencer Auto Repair and the Chandler Police Department led a local family to receive $5,000 worth of vehicle repairs for free.

Sept. 2, 2022—A shop in Arizona has given the gift of air conditioning to citizens in need. 

According to 12 NewsJakelin Banda and her grandmother, Teresa, had been driving a vehicle without a functioning air conditioning system. 

Spencer Auto Repair partnered with the Chandler Police Department to find someone in need of repairs as a gesture of kindness, and Jakelin and Teresa were selected. 

Shop owner Brittney Spencer and her team went beyond A/C. They were able to give Jakelin and Teresa $5,000 worth of repairs for free.  

"Arizona summers are brutal, and A/C in your car is just a necessity, and so we really wanted to give back to the community that supports us so much. It just made us feel really happy to be able to do that and just show appreciation for someone in the community who's doing everything they can to help their family," Spencer said to 12 News.
