Ring, a home and neighborhood security platform, enters the automotive market with three new vehicular security features.

Sept. 29, 2020—Ring, a home and neighborhood security platform, has announced the creation of three new security products for your car

Ring, which is owned by Amazon, is releasing Ring Car Alarm, Ring Car Cam, and Ring Car Connect in 2021.

Ring Car Alarm will detect bumps and break-ins, and even tell when your car is being towed, reports TechCrunch. Ring Car Cam is a security camera that monitors your vehicle for incidents while parked and can offer emergency crash detection. The final product, Ring Car Connect, is an aftermarket device specifically manufactured for automakers that allows the integration of a vehicle's built-in cameras.

Tesla will be Ring's first automotive partner, outfitting the 3, X, S, and Y models with Ring Car Connect.
