SMP Awards Import Leader Automotive Scholarships

Winners will receive financial support for their automotive technology or repair education.

Dec. 30, 2020—Standard Motor Products, Inc. (SMP) has announced the winners of its sixth annual Intermotor ‘Import Leader’ automotive scholarship contest, according to a press release.

Winners included Jackson Dietrich of St. Charles, Ill., Logan Peterson of Litchfield, Minn., Korbyn Cowan of Sand Springs, Okla., and Jessica Kenyon of Westborough, Mass. Each will receive a $5,000 scholarship to apply toward their education in automotive technology or repair with a focus on import vehicles.

Hundreds of students entered the contest and winners were selected by a panel of judges as those who exhibited the best qualities representing Intermotor Import, a manufacturer of import engine management parts.

The competition was open to legal residents currently enrolled full-time in high school, or in an accredited two-or four-year College, University or post-high school educational program.
