July 23, 2021—Tesla plans to open its network of superchargers to other EV brands later this year, Reuters reported.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the news on Twitter. Tesla has 25,000 superchargers globally. Musk has been pushed from other countries, including Germany, to open its charging network to other automakers in order to make it easier for consumers to charge EVs.

The lack of charging remains one of the biggest roadblocks to widespread adoption in the U.S. and in other countries, the report said.
