Numbers: A Team-Focused Flow Pays Off

Oct. 6, 2021

When it comes to workflow, one tech per vehicle might be most popular, but is it most productive?

From individuals to teams, there are different ways to have techs work on vehicles—but which is best?

According to the Ratchet+Wrench Industry Survey, one tech per vehicle is the most common when it comes to assigning work with over half of respondents setting their employees up this way. But when it comes to overall performance, the method could be holding your techs back.

When compared with teams and segmented by job, one tech per vehicle averaged worse performance numbers. Teamwork seems to be the best structure for the highest performance.
