July 26, 2019—Tesla revealed that the number one reason owners visit service is to learn how to use Autopilot, reports Electrek.
Tesla has doubled the size of its fleet over the last 12 months, making it difficult to grow its service capacity at the same rate. CEO Elon Musk has said “the best service is no service” and that Tesla is focused on increasing reliability and eliminating all the reasons owners would have to go get service.
Tesla President of Automotive Jerome Guillen noted that some customers could benefit from vehicle education, which would help reduce the service workload.
