The lawsuit states that the MyFord Touch infotainment touchscreen system often crashes and freezes while the vehicle is in motion, fails to respond to repeated voice and touch commands, provides inaccurate GPS information and is unable to connect to mobile devices.

August 7, 2019—Attorneys at Hagens Berman are urging owners and lessees of MyFord Touch-equipped Ford and Lincoln vehicles to claim their portion of a preliminarily approved $17 million settlement reached with Ford.

Claiming the settlement can mean up to $400 for those who have had three or more repairs made to their MyFord Touch infotainment systems. Those who have had two repairs receive $250, those who have had one repair receive $100, and those who had no repairs, but were dissatisfied with the MyFord Touch system can receive $45 if a claim is made.

The lawsuit states that the MyFord Touch infotainment touchscreen system often crashes and freezes while the vehicle is in motion, fails to respond to repeated voice and touch commands, provides inaccurate GPS information and is unable to connect to mobile devices. The MyFord Touch was installed in a variety of different Ford vehicles with model years between 2011 and 2013.

Anyone who purchased or leased a new or used Ford or Lincoln vehicles equipped with MyFord Touch from an authorized Ford or Lincoln dealer in one of these states before Aug. 9, 2013 may be a member of the classes and eligible to make a claim: California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, or Washington.

You can also choose to object, comment or exclude yourself from the settlement, or do nothing. If no claim is made, Ford will automatically mail between $20 and $55 to class members who are the original owners of the class vehicles.

Owners and lessees of new or used vehicles equipped with MyFord Touch that were acquired from a Ford dealer before Aug. 9, 2013, have until Sept. 20, 2019, to file a claim.
