Feb. 18, 2021—Carter Automotive, an auto parts retailer and repair shop based in Kansas, is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2021, according to a press release.

The company, founded by Orvil W. Carter in 1921, was originally a repair shop before several evolutions throughout its lifespan. The company has done everything from repairing vehicles, to selling parts to shops and car dealerships. In its current form, the company owns an engine repair facility and continues to sell parts out of a 20,000 square-foot warehouse in Coffeyville.

Carter Automotive will celebrate the anniversary with numerous events throughout the year, starting with a March 3 live-stream event on Facebook with the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce. The company plans to give away 100 special gifts to its customers throughout the year.

“Carter Automotive has been blessed with a solid foundation of knowledgeable employees, quality parts and service, loyal customers and unwavering support from the community for the past 100 years,” Debbie Carter, president of Carter Automotive, said in a statement.
