A new Lang Marketing report found that almost half of Gen Zers over 19 years old do not have their driver's license, and even more between the ages of 16 and 18 don't drive at all.
Nov. 6, 2020—A new report has found that many Gen Zers aren't likely to drive.
According to a new Lang Aftermarket iReport, more than 40 percent of Gen Z Americans who are 19 years old do not have a driver's license. This is more than double the share of like-aged Baby Boomers (born 1946 to 1964) without a license in 1983.
The report also found that over 48 percent of Gen Zers that are 16 to 18 years old don't drive at all.
"The declining share of teenagers who do not drive is slowing the population growth of licensed drivers," the report stated. "This trend has significant implications for vehicle use and aftermarket product volume."
