Take a moment to think about the people who make your business run each day. For me, it’s an energetic staff of 20 talented, motivated individuals who give everything to their respective positions. They’re writers, editors, designers, sales representatives, and administrative staff, as well as the managers who guide the team. Every person contributes to the company’s success in their own way, and I’m fortunate to work with such a professional, dedicated group.
It’s easy in any business to get caught up in the daily grind and forget to recognize the people who go out of their way to get the job done—individuals you can’t imagine working without.
I’ve talked to enough shop managers and owners to know that a strong team is just as important in the auto service industry. Customer expectations for quality and timeliness continue to grow. Vehicle technology is advancing at an ever-quicker pace. Training needs are greater. Tools are more prolific and expensive. And shops need to work harder than ever to brand, market and stand apart from each other.
If you’re winning in today’s market, you probably have employees and business partners—or maybe some inspiring peers—to thank for it. We have a way to help you recognize those individuals.
Starting this month, we are seeking nominations for the first-ever Ratchet+Wrench All-Star Awards, developed to honor the most inspirational, talented difference-makers in the industry. We have categories for every position in the shop, and a wild-card category for educators, vendors, consultants and others who have made an impact on your life and business.
Winners receive an award, a profile in the magazine’s October issue and a press release_notes about their accomplishments to distribute in their community. Find details at ratchetandwrenchawards.com.
